In Loving Memory of
Bridgette Aileen Adams
September 16, 1959 - August 21, 2021
Bridgette Aileen Adams was born on September 16, 1959, in Ft. Hood, Texas, to Garfield and Mattie (Moore) Adams
Our dear mother and sister peacefully passed away on August 21, 2021, at 61 years old. As God grants her eternal rest, our warrior will be missed by many. She resided in Leesville, Louisiana for several years and had recently returned to Texas.
She received a Doctor of Theology from the American International Bible Institute and Seminary. She followed the vision of her church ministry, "To turn the hearts of the people to the Lord Jesus. To build a people in knowledge, wisdom, and understanding through the Word that the Lord finds pleasure. To reach out to the oppressed, the rejected, those written off by society, and considered to be hopeless (jails, prisons, nursing homes, homeless, addicts and the juveniles)."
While residing in Louisiana, she remained a member of New Zion Christian Fellowship Ministries of Killeen, Texas, under Bishop G.L Grace of Killeen, Texas. In her active membership she served in the Usher and Hospitality Ministries. She assisted Bishop G. L. Grace carry out the mission of the Word of Life Substance Abuse Center.
We will always remember her big smile. She loved reading her “Daily Bread.” She had a passion for helping women who needed support and was an adamant prayer warrior and encourager. Her children called her a "fighter," never giving up. Every visit with her sisters, Rita, Debra, and Sonya were highlighted with a mission, e.g., a month before she transitions, the four sisters came together putting together homeless bags and care packages. That is what the Adams girls do as founders of the Iron Sharpens Iron - 4MySisters Network.
Bridgette Adams is preceded in death by her parents Garfield Adams and Mattie Adams, and niece Ursula Lilley.
She leaves her loving family, Kyrone Walker (son) of Leander, Texas, Kila Adams (daughter) of Temple, Texas, and Shanequea Wright (daughter) of Leesville, Louisiana.
She leaves her grandchildren Ta’Nequea, E’mani, Prince, Maykia, and Adrianna. Great-grandchild Arianna.
She leaves her sisters Rita Howard (Reggie) of Killeen, Texas; Debra Johnson of Waco, Texas; and Sonya Hosey (Wendell) of Pflugerville, Texas.
