Louise Eva Savoie, 87, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2021. No services are planned at this time.
Louise was born on October 18, 1933 to Paul Champagne and Adrienne Pelletier in Ludlow, Massachusetts. She grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts and graduated from Cathedral High School. Louise graduated from Elms College in Chicopee, Massachusetts with her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She then went on to get her Master’s Degree in Education at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. Louise began her teaching career in Ludlow, Massachusetts, then going on to Germany to teach. After returning from Germany, she met and married the love of her life, Harvey Savoie, marrying on August 20, 1967. They have one son, Matthew Savoie. Louise was an avid reader, a lover of baseball, her favorite team being the Boston Red Sox. Harvey and Louise loved to travel together, they went all over the world. She was a devoted Catholic and was active with the “Ladies of St. Anne” at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.
Louise Eva Savoie was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Adrienne Champagne; her husband, Harvey Savoie; and her sister, Alice Littlejohn.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Matthew Savoie and wife Christine; her granddaughter, Courtney Collins and husband Charlie; her grandsons, Jacob Savoie and Nicholas Savoie; her great grandchildren, Charlie Cash Collins, Carter Jean Collins; her sister, Jocelyn O’Connor.
